*FREE 2022 BLENDED LEARNING LIFEGUARD TRAINING COURSE*

The Village of Little Chute is teaming up with the Village of Ashwaubenon to offer a Free “Blended Learning” Lifeguard Training Course. Class will be offered at the Ashwaubenon Community Pool (2391 S. Ridge Rd.)

--> Friday, April 22 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

--> Saturday, April 23 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

--> Sunday, April 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

This course enables the participant to work at an indoor/outdoor pool or lake setting and also certifies the participant in First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer. This is a “Blended Learning” course where students will complete online modules for in class work, then complete water coursework in person. Minimum age requirement is 14 ½ to take the course. Candidates must be 15 years of age by the completion of the course. Full attendance of all three days is mandatory to complete this course. The following requirements must be completed in a satisfactory manner to continue in the course. This will be completed on Friday, April 22. Failure to complete these skills will result in not being able to continue coursework.

--> Swim 300 yards continuously, using each of the following strokes: front crawl using rhythmic breathing and stabilizing, propellant kick; breaststroke using rhythmic breathing and stabilizing, propellant kick (there is no time requirement; however, the 300 yards must be continuous – no walking on the bottom or stopping at the side of the pool.

--> Swim 20 yards front crawl or breaststroke, dive to a depth of 7 to 10 feet, retrieve a 10-lb object, return it to the surface, and swim 20 yards; head above water; on back; back to the starting point and exit the water without using a ladder or steps within 1 minute, 40 seconds.

--> Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs.

Deadline to register for this FREE Lifeguard Training Course is Monday, April 18 at 4:30pm. Register early, as course is LIMITED TO ONLY 10 REGISTRANTS. You can register online (https://littlechute.recdesk.com/Community/Home) or you can stop in the Park & Rec Office to register.

2021 Pool Lifeguard

Doyle Pool is a wonderful facility to enjoy during the summer. There is one small heated children's wading pool and a large heated pool with a shallow and deep end. In the deep end you can find a low-diving board and a high-diving board. There is also a single-flume water slide located on the large pool. If you need a break from swimming you can relax on the deck while having a snack from the concession stand. The facility is staffed by Red Cross Certified lifeguards to ensure safety for everyone swimming. Everyone must pay to enter the pool area, even if you are only watching kids at pool. The pool will be closed if the air temperature is below 65 degrees fahrenheit. There are no refunds of admission fees due to foul weather.  TO CONTACT THE POOL OFFICE DURING THE SUMMER, PLEASE CALL 687-5322.

> Should you choose to visit Doyle Pool this summer, please be assured the following measures are in place: 
*plexi-glass dividers will be present at all public facing counters and include single use pens 
*social distancing measures will be in place to limit the number of people in the pool area if needed
*proper social distancing measures will be enforced on the pool deck 
*hand sanitizer will be available at the entrance to the pool 
*there will be an increased frequency of cleaning and disinfecting of all surfaces  
*staff will be required to wear face coverings when necessary   

> We need your help to ensure we keep you and our staff healthy.  Please help us by continuing to follow these general guidelines:
*stay home if you are feeling sick
*practice social distancing and maintain 6 feet of distancing whenever possible (facility will have markings to assist with spacing while in line) 
*practice proper hand washing by washing your hands with soap and water for 20 seconds (hand sanitizer is also provided by pool entrance)

Season passes will be available only at Doyle Park Pool during operational hours. Little Chute residents are required to show proof of residency at time of purchase to receive discounted price. Family passes are limited to adults and children who reside in the same household; maximum of two adult passes per family pass. All pass purchases require an adult signature on pass information and waiver liability form. A lost/stolen pass will be replaced for a $10 replacement fee.

Swim Pass Promo: Little Chute season pass holders will be admitted FREE during open swim hours to local pools from Monday, July 11 through Friday July 15.  Don't miss the opportunity to visit the Appleton, Kaukauna, Kimberly, Neenah and Menasha pools for FREE during this Pass Promo week.

2022 SWIMMING LESSONS

Our swim lesson classes are designed to meet American Red Cross standards and are taught by qualified staff certified in Red Cross Lifeguard Training, Water Safety Instruction, CPR, and First Aid.  We offer three sessions of morning and evening swim lessons at our heated outdoor pool facility.  Information on our swim lessons (session choices, class descriptions, class times, and lesson registration form) can be found in our current Spring/Summer Program Book at www.littlechutewi.org/parkrec. Swim lesson registration form in book lists the early registration dates and times.     

SPECIAL EVENTS

​​2022 Pool Birthday Parties 

Come to Doyle Park Pool for your next birthday Party! The west half of the pool pavilion can be rented for 1.5 hours during the regular open swim hours. Each child party guest will be provided a pool admission ticket, 2 slices of pizza, a bag of popcorn, and a bottle of water. The birthday boy/girl will receive a party favor. One adult chaperone per 10 kids is provided pool admission; other adults attending must pay to enter pool.  (Adults attending party do not receive food.)​

There are three different rental time options to choose from. "Daytime Party #1" has private pavilion time from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. "Daytime Party #2" has private pavilion time from  3:00 to 4:30 p.m.  Daytime birthday party fee is $60 for a party of 10 kids or less and $90 for a party of  up to 20 kids.  Daytime birthday party guests may swim in pool for entire afternoon session (1:00 to 4:30 p.m.) is they wish.  "Evening Party" has private pavilion time as well as open swim time from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.  Evening birthday party fee is $50 for a party of 10 or less kids and $70 for a party with up to 20 kids.​​​

​Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-serve basis. Completed rental form​​​ and payment must be turned in before a date can be reserved.  Pool birthday parties can be booked at the Park & Rec starting April 1, then also at the Pool Office during operational hours starting June 5.  All reservations must be made one week before the rental date so we can schedule staff.  Date can only be booked when completed form and full payment is received, we cannot hold a date.  If you would like to discuss option to pay with credit card over the phone, call the Park & Rec at (920) 423-3869 to get details.  ​​​

2022 Private Pool Rental

​​Private rentals are great for a company picnic, a club gathering, or any other special occasion. Private rentals are only allowed at a time when the pool is not scheduled to be open for public swim or swim lessons. Fee is $100 per hour for groups of less than 30 people, and $125 per hour for groups larger than 30 people. Private rentals can be for 1, 1 1/2, or 2 hours time slots.

2022 Dive-In Movie Night​

Head to Doyle Pool on Friday, July 15 for a nighttime swim and moving screening at our Free Dive-In Movie Night sponsored by Unison Credit Union.  Event begins at 6:30 p.m. with free admission to the pool for swimming and a number of fun activities to participate in.  When the sun goes down and it becomes dark, a movie will be played on a projector screen located on the edge of the pool.  You can float and enjoy the movie, or you can watch it from the pool deck.  You can also enjoy snack and drinks that are for sale in the concession stand.  Hope you can join us!​​
