Heart of the Valley Metro Sewer District has a connection fee based on the water meter size for all new construction    2026 Connection Fee

Any NEW CONSTRUCTION for Single Family and Two-Family Homes must be applied for through the State of Wisconsin portal: HERE

House Flipping- If you plan on purchasing a house with the intention of "fixing it up" and selling it.

Permits are required for the following work:

  • If the owner does not reside in the dwelling, the person must hold a state credential to pull building permits: Dwelling Contractor and Dwelling Contractor Qualifier Credential
  • Any new window or door opening.
  • Any reconfiguring of rooms and spaces, or structural alterations.
  • Any additions of a deck, accessory structure, driveway or patio.
  • Any additions and/or alterations to the dwellings electrical, HVAC and plumbing systems requires a permit and must be performed by a state-licensed contractor.

Payments must be either check or cash and can be paid for in person at Village Hall, Mailed in or placed in our Drop Box located at the Grand Avenue Entrance to the Village Hall.

NOTE: To obtain permits for work to be done within the street right-of-way(new and rehab sidewalk, new and rehab driveway approaches, curb openings, curb replacement, new and replacement culvert installation, erosion control permit, right-of-way/easement) please go to the second floor of Village Hall at 108 W. Main Street in Little Chute - Public Works.  Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.  No credit card payments for permits, cash and check only please.
