NOAA Weather Radios.
If you don’t currently own a NOAA weather radio, now is a great time to pick one up. The Outagamie County Clerks office and the Emergency Management office have a good supply of NOAA weather radios for sale. These radios are pre-programmed and all you have to do is take it home, insert 3 AA batteries and place in a location near a window, plug it in, extend the antenna, turn it on. The radios are $31.50 and they accept cash or checks.
Outdoor warning systems sirens.
On Saturday March 22 at noon the Outagamie County Emergency Management will begin audibly sounding the Outdoor warning systems sirens. We ask that you step outside your home and listen for the siren. Just a reminder, these sirens are meant to be heard outside of your home, business or school and not inside… as an inside warning system, we recommend a NOAA weather radio and notifications from your favorite media outlet directly to your cellular phone. Along with the Saturday testing of the outdoor warning systems sirens, beginning April 1st Outagamie County Emergency Management will be conducting additional test on the first Wednesday of each month to coincide with the testing by the National Weather Service.
